I planning to use this plugin on a niche site, and i was wondering if it possible to implement WP-posts instead of PT product image/description.
It would be great if i could make WP-posts, and then make a product mapping, where the link to the WP-post could be enter during product mapping.
Then the result would look like the 'external_prices', but work different, because the product comes from within PT installation.
The benefit of this is that is easier to make a great product descriptions and hopefully use some of the WP plugins inside the posts...

That's basically the intention of the shortcodes; you can manually create a product page as a WordPress post, and anywhere you want within the body of the page you can call in the price comparison table using;
[pto prices="Product Name"]Regarding search, if the intention is to manually create posts for all products it would probably best to leave search to WordPress rather than displaying the plugin search form...
