Problem with permalinks

Submitted by digitalmads on Thu, 2018-02-22 17:44 in

Hi,

I am having trouble with the Wordpress plugin.

I have installed it as a test on this domain:

yemanya.se

On the front page I have added the shortcodes:

[pto]

[pto atoz="category"]

The search box does not work.

The latter shortcode lists my categories fine, but when I click one it doesn't work.

I have set my Wordpress permalinks to: /arkiv/%postname%

I am using the standard Wordpress .htaccess.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I think from a look at your site that you have set the container permalink page ( the page that should just contain the shortcode [pto] ) to also be the home page. This creates a conflict within the internal rewrite process of WordPress however it is easy to work-around.

All you need to do, is leave the container permalink page containing just:

[pto]

And then create another page to set as your home page containing whatever you wish to display and include there, such as as you posted;

[pto]
[pto atoz="category"]

...and set that page to be your home page, and then everything should work as expected...

Cheers,
David.

Hi David,

Thanks. And thank you for a great script.

I did as you said and created a categories page with the categories shortcode

{link saved}

Still it will not show the categories and when I click merchant, category or brand on the frontpage it does not work either.

Hi,

I am still seeing the "Shopping" page as your home page - can you temporarily try so that no page is set as your home page?

Thanks,
David.
