Search URL

Hi Mate,

I seem to have broken something in relation to my search url.

When I seatch the query is https://www.example.com/?pto_q=batman instead of https://www.example.com/shopping/?pto_q=batman

I was playing with the search widget html in settings. But I have now reset those settings.

Any ideas.
Richard

Hi Richard,

This could happen if the post containing the [pto] shortcode is made the home page as its permalink then becomes empty (making it the home page).

If you want the PriceTapestry.org search form and links on the home page it's best to make a second post containing the [pto] shortcode and assign that post to be the home page leaving the original post containing [pto] and having the /shopping permalink in place to support the search function.

That should be all it is, if not let me know and I'll check it out further with you of course...

Cheers,
David.

Hi Again,

Figured it out, I renamed the shopping page to "shop by brand". I had left the permalink as shopping so assumed it would still work.

Thanks
Richard

Sick of me yet!!

{link saved} now works correctly however the Title is "Shopping - Find Shops" instead of product name.

I am using Yoast SEO plugin. it appears the twitter title is working, but not the META, or description.

Hi,

The Yoast SEO plugin provides a title filter - the mod is in this comment...
