Hi, got my PT site up and database populated, and I can see products fine in the main Price Tapestry site.

Got the Wordpress plugin in and installed correctly, I think, and can go to the main price comparison permalink page and see a search. However, whenever I do a search, or try to use a [pto search="keywords"] or a widget, I'm getting the above error message or just a blank area (in the case of the widget).

Any ideas?

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Below the search form on the main page (container permalink), if you click one of the index links (Merchant, Category or Brand), do you see the A-Z index?

Cheers,
David.

Hi David, I just get the title "Merchant A-Z" and then no content.

Cheers

Hi Mark,

That indicates that either the External setting for $config_databaseTablePrefix (wp-admin > Settings > PriceTapestry.org External) doesn't match the equivalent value in config.php of your Price Tapestry installation; or they are running in different MySQL databases.

If everything has been installed using the defaults then it is most likely the latter - in which case you can move your Price Tapestry database into your WordPress database easily using the Database Tool. The process would be:

1) Export your Price Tapestry database using the Database Tool

2) Edit config.php of your Price Tapestry installation so that the database configuration variable $config_databaseServer, $config_databaseUsername, $config_databasePassword and $config_databaseName match the database configuration constants DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASSWORD and DB_NAME in your wp-config.php file respectively;

3) Browse to setup.php in your Price Tapestry installation folder and click the link to install the tables in the new database

4) Go back to the Database Tool and paste the contents of the backup file created in step (1) into the Restore form to restore your settings.

5) Finally, re-import all feeds to complete the migration

Hope this helps!
Cheers,
David.

That's it - thanks David! I didn't realise PT had to be installed in the Wordpress database.
