No PT after activation Wordpress All in One SEO plugin

Submitted by marco@flapper on Mon, 2012-07-02 14:11 in

Hi,
Pricetapestry plugin seems to have problems with the AIO SEO plugin:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/

I activated it and no PT products to be found. When I deactivate the plugin the products are there again. So somehow when activating the AIO SEO plugin it seems to 'prevent the PT pages to be shown'?

Any ideas on how to make them work together?

Hi Marco,

Under wp-admin > Settings > PriceTapestry.org scroll down to the "Header Exclusivity" setting and set to TRUE, that should be all it is. This setting "unhooks" any other plugins that take over page header generation, which is central to the way the virtual pages are created (e.g. /product/Prouduct-Name.html, /merchant/, /brand/ etc.) It won't affect any other pages where your SEO plugin will continue to work as normal.

Cheers,
David.

Hi,
Thanks for putting me in the right direction.

At first setting 'Header exclusivity' to TRUE didn't seem to work. I thought it had something to do because with the main site versus child sites. I use Wordpress Multisite and network activated the WP SEO plugin. It seemed to work on child sites in combination with the PT plugin but not on the main site.

Then I checked the WP SEO plugin settings and under Permalink settings there is 'Redirect ugly URL's to clean permalinks.'

When I unchecked this option it works in combination with setting 'Header exclusivity' to TRUE in PT plugin.
