Struggling with merchant logos

Submitted by andydarley on Fri, 2011-09-02 12:53 in

Hi -

Since I switched over to the WP plugin I've lost merchant logos and I'm not sure why.

The uploaded images have had their names changed as intended - from, eg, 'example-merchant.gif' to 'Example Merchant' - but the code on the page (both the site and the admin area) reads <img src="http://www.mydomain.net/logos/Example Merchant" style="padding: 10px;">, which obviously isn't going to work.

What do I need to tweak?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Hi Andy,

That sounds like the Install Path and Base HREF haven't been set, or are not quite correct, under the PriceTapestry.org settings page in your WordPress admin area. Check that the values correspond to those displayed under the the Install Path displayed on the Support Info page of your Price Tapestry admin area, save the settings, and you should then find that your logo paths are prefixed with the appropriate URL to your Price Tapestry installation...

Cheers,
David.

OK, that would make sense. I've got the site in a development environment at the moment, with a temporary URL. I'll wait and see if it all snaps into place once the proper domain is included everywhere.

Thanks!

Got it - nothing to do with the difference between current and eventual addresses, purely that the base address in the config file was for the site and not the PT installation (the WP settings were correct). Also explains why the main admin link in the navigation 404ed!

Many thanks again.
